This policy explains what data the Will It Fit? app (“the App”, “we”, “us”) accesses when you install it on your Shopify store, how we use it, and how you can have it deleted.

1. What we access and store

To provide compatibility mapping and the storefront widget, the App accesses and stores the following, under the read_products and write_products scopes you grant at install:

Store identifiers & access token — your .myshopify.com domain and a Shopify offline access token, so the App can call the Shopify API on your behalf.
Product data — product titles, SKUs, barcodes/GTINs and variant details, read to match your products to compatibility models.
Compatibility mappings — written back to your products as metafields (compat.vertical, compat.model) and, at the shop level, an app-generated read-only API key (will_it_fit.api_key) used by the storefront widget.
Plan status — your selected pricing plan and a per-shop usage count, to enforce your plan’s monthly allowance.

2. What we do NOT collect

The App does not access, collect, or store any of your customers’ personal data — no names, emails, addresses, orders, or payment information. It operates only on product and store-configuration data.

3. The storefront widget

On your product pages, the widget sends the product’s model identifier and your shop’s public read-only API key to our compatibility service to fetch the list of compatible products. These requests do not include any shopper personal data, and we do not build shopper profiles or track individuals.

4. Service providers

We share the minimum data needed with the following processors that help us run the App:

Compatibility API (operated by Phenom Digital Limited) — receives product model identifiers to return compatibility results.
Hosting & database — our application and database are hosted with reputable cloud providers (Fly.io and Neon) within their secured infrastructure.
Shopify — as the platform your store runs on.

We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data only while the App is installed. When you uninstall the App, or on a Shopify shop-redaction request, we delete your stored sessions, plan record and API-key record, and deactivate your compatibility API key. Because we store no customer personal data, Shopify’s customer data-request and customer-redaction requests return no personal data. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us.

6. Security

Access tokens and API keys are stored in our secured database and transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Access is limited to what is required to operate the App.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
